Meet the Doctors

Ed Dye, D.D.S.
Dr. Ed Dye has wanted to be a dentist. At the age of 4 he had a fall that required emergency dental care due to a fractured tooth. He received excellent care and from that point he knew, “I am going to be a dentist!”
Dr Dye grew up in Cedar Rapids where he earned his Eagle Scout with Troop 24 and graduated from Jefferson High School. He then went to Cornell College in 2004 to study for his undergraduate degree in biology. He was a member of the Cornell Rams basketball team while he was there. Dr. Dye’s education journey kept moving when he was accepted into the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where he graduated in 2008 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery.
He was recruited to Ottumwa, Iowa right out of graduating dental school to join River Hills Community Health Center dental providers. After more than 8 years of serving patients in Ottumwa, IA. Dr. Dye decided to start his own practice. His vision for Ed Dye Family Dentistry came to life when he found the perfect location in Marion, Iowa. In 2017 Dr. Dye took over for Dr. Lindsay Brown. Since then, he has maintained the personable atmosphere by getting to know each of his patients and truly understanding their needs.
Dr. Dye stays busy with family and friends outside of work. He enjoys bike riding, camping and music. Dr. Dye enjoys being involved with his children’s activities. He is a scout leader for his son, Charlie’s cub scout Den, and he also volunteers to coach sports teams for the kids’ activities. You will also see Dr. Dye and Sarah volunteer in the schools to educate the kids about their oral health. His wife Sarah manages the business aspects of the Clinic and when not in the office takes care of their children. Dr. Dye’s family enjoys camping, being outdoors, traveling and volunteering in their community.
